The Center for Practical AI was founded in 2023 to help communities, organizations, and individuals understand and use artificial intelligence in practical, responsible, and accessible ways. The Center focuses on AI literacy, real-world application, and human-centered adoption, bringing together educators, practitioners, industry, and community partners. Through public events, education programs, and applied research, the Center works to reduce barriers to access, build confidence with emerging technologies, and support thoughtful AI use that benefits people and society.

Sparking imagination for responsible AI & health, Todd (he/him) has become a visionary leader pushing the limits of performance improvement. He has over 12 years of experience between providing care as an EMT, in health service operations, management consulting, and nonprofit leadership.

Abigail Merrill helps teams adopt AI the right way—holistic, budget-savvy, and human-centered. She is a marketing, sales-enablement, and ops strategist who leads end-to-end transformations—from discovery and tool selection to implementation, change management, and measurable ROI. With 15+ years across B2B/B2C, she looks at the whole business before recommending anything: revenue targets, ICP and customer journey, data readiness, team workflows, compliance/risk, and the real budget you have—not the one you wish you had.
Kenyetta Hall, MBA, CSM, CSPO
Fractional CPO & Principal Consultant
Kenyetta is a Product Leader and Business Strategist who partners with Fortune 500 companies and startups bringing innovative products and digital initiatives to market. A former AI startup co-founder, she is now CEO of Katalyst HQ, a Product Strategy and Innovation Studio supporting founders and organizations in reducing risk, strengthening decision-making, and accelerating product growth through advisory services, fractional product leadership, workshops, and strategic sessions. Kenyetta is also co-founder of Agile Product Dojo, training early- and mid-career product professionals. She serves as Social Entrepreneur in Residence and Professor of Practice at UNC-Chapel Hill’s Shuford Program for Entrepreneurship.
